Pre-appointment information

I work in a private studio with two other female artists, the loveliest people you’ll ever meet. There may be all three of us in, or it may just be me
The studio is fully accessible, if you require anything prior to the appointment let me know and I can make sure everything is good to go.

Before the appointment

You’ll receive an email from me reminding you of the date/ time and to bring your ID, the week before  you’re due in

Below is a list of thing you can do (or not do) that can make the process even easier:

  • Exfoliating the area a couple of times during the week before and moisturising daily is wonderful, it makes my job easier and lends itself to an easier healing experience.
  • Depending on the size of the piece, avoid any heavy work outs the week before, this can cause more bleeding during the session.  Not to a dangerous degree but it can effect the final outcome.
  • Try and get a good nights sleep the night before (no alcohol or late nights).
  • Make sure you eat a good filling breakfast morning of.

I would also like to add, if traveling in for the tattoo please do not book you flight for the same day you’re getting tattooed. Any time estimate I give are only guidelines and there are a lot of variables on the day that can effect how long it will take

What to expect on the day

  • I will meet you at the gate after I’ve buzzed you in and walk you to our studio.
  • You’ll take a seat in our cute little waiting area, while filling out your consent form.
  • Once that’s done I’ll bring you to my station, we’ll have a look over the design, size it up and get going.
  • I recommend bringing headphones, a book, download a movie etc. I’m not very chatty during the tattoo so feel free to bring your own entertainment (as long as it isn’t loud and doesn’t cause you to move too much).
depending on the length of the session, we’ll stop for a 20 minutes/ half hour lunch. I recommend bringing something with you to eat, some sugary snack are always good to keep your blood sugar happy. There’s a table of treats you can help yourself to and I’ll be offering you a tea or coffee probably far too often.
  • Wear your comfiest outfit. Make sure it’s something wear something that still allows me access to the area done

Some suggestions for different placements are:

  • Back-  a button up shirt/cardigan/ zip up hoodie. You can wear this backwards
  • Thigh-  over hip- bikini bottoms with a tie at the side
  • Chest/shoulder-  tank top that you can slip your arm out of easily

Theres always a risk that ink or stencil can get on your clothes, please bear this in mind and don’t wear your favourite white shirt. It’s is rare but not impossible for a bit of splatter.

Can I bring someone with me?

You are welcome to bring someone with you, they can’t sit with you during the actual tattoo, but they can take a seat in the waiting area. Equally there is  a lovely coffee shop meters away called Ozone if they’d prefer a change of scenery.

What payment methods do you accept?

I accept Bank transfer or cash, and PayPal only from my international clients.

Deposits can be done via bank transfer or PayPal if international.

Will you send the design to me before the appointment?

I don’t send out designs prior to the session. I work on the design up until the day before the appointment. I find its mutually beneficially to talk about, and go through the design on the day, and I can better explain the aspects of the design (there’s always plenty of time to make minor changes if need be).
